Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper optional, for heat
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions, avocado

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  3. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Bring to a simmer, reduce heat to low, and cook for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot with optional toppings.

Notes

For deeper flavor, simmer chili for up to 40 minutes.
Add extra vegetables like zucchini or mushrooms for more volume and nutrition.
Leftovers store in the fridge for 3–4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
