  • 12 –15 fresh Dandelion flowers fully opened, stems trimmed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar optional, for sweet version
  • 1 large egg
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional for sweet version
  • 1 tbsp melted butter or oil
  • For Frying
  • Neutral oil vegetable or canola

  • Powdered sugar
  • Honey
  • Cinnamon sugar

Method
 

  1. 1️⃣ Prepare the Flowers
  2. Rinse Dandelion flowers gently in cool water and pat dry. Trim stems close to the flower base.
  3. 2️⃣ Make the Batter
  4. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar (if using).
  5. Add egg, milk, vanilla, and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
  6. 3️⃣ Heat the Oil
  7. Heat 1–2 inches of oil in a skillet or saucepan to 350°F (175°C).
  8. 4️⃣ Dip & Fry
  9. Dip each flower into the batter, coating lightly.
  10. Place carefully into hot oil and fry 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  11. 5️⃣ Drain
  12. Transfer to paper towels or a wire rack.
  13. 6️⃣ Serve
