- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spoon a small amount of cream cheese mixture onto the center of each heart.
- Place sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese. Fold edges slightly to create a border.
- Brush edges with beaten egg.
- Bake 18–20 minutes, until puff pastry is golden and crisp.
- Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
