Ingredients
  

For the casserole:
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1½ lbs ground beef 85/15 or leaner
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup dill pickles chopped
  • 2 tbsp ketchup optional for sweetness
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup heavy cream
For serving/topping (optional):
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Sliced pickles
  • Sesame seeds
  • Extra sauce

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or large ovenproof skillet.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic; sauté until softened.
  3. Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Season with salt, pepper, Worcestershire, and paprika. Cook until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
  4. Stir in ketchup (if using) and chopped pickles. Cook for 1–2 more minutes, then remove from heat.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and heavy cream.
  6. Transfer the beef mixture to your baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  7. Pour egg-cream mixture over the top.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving. Top with shredded lettuce, more pickles, sesame seeds, or drizzle with Big Mac–style sauce if desired.
