Ingredients
  

  • 12 –16 slices bacon regular cut works best
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar optional, for sweetness
  • ½ tsp black pepper optional
  • Optional garnish: fresh parsley or rosemary sprigs

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a muffin tin.
  3. Sprinkle bacon slices lightly with brown sugar and black pepper, if using.
  4. Roll each bacon slice tightly into a spiral to form a rose shape.
  5. Place rolled bacon upright into muffin cups.
  6. Bake 25–30 minutes, until bacon is crispy and browned.
  7. Drain briefly on paper towels and garnish before serving.

Notes

Thick-cut bacon can be used but may need extra baking time.
For extra crispiness, finish under the broiler for 1–2 minutes.
Serve with eggs, pancakes, or as part of a Valentine’s brunch board.
