Method
Brew the tea
- Bring 2 cups water to a boil. Add tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags.
Make the slush mixture
- Stir sugar into hot tea until dissolved.
- In a large container, combine tea mixture, orange juice concentrate, lemonade concentrate, brandy, and 7 cups water. Stir well.
Freeze
- Cover container and place in the freezer for 6–8 hours or overnight, stirring occasionally during the first few hours if possible. Mixture will freeze into a soft, scoopable slush.
Serve
- Scoop slush into glasses. Top with lemon-lime soda or ginger ale. Stir gently and serve with a spoon or straw.
Notes
For a stronger kick, add an extra ½ cup of brandy.
For a lighter version, replace half the brandy with additional orange juice.
Store slush in the freezer for up to 3 months. Just scoop and serve when ready.
