Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 triangles)
  • 8 fully cooked breakfast sausage links pork or turkey
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
  • 1 large egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: maple syrup or honey mustard for dipping

  • Baking sheet
  • Pastry brush
  • Parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate crescent roll dough into 8 triangles.
  3. Place a sausage link on the wide end of each triangle. If desired, sprinkle a little cheese on the dough before rolling.
  4. Roll up each sausage, starting from the wide end and tucking in the sides as you go.
  5. Place on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down. Brush with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve warm with maple syrup or honey mustard for dipping.

Notes

You can use mini sausages or cut standard links in half for smaller bites.
Try adding scrambled eggs or cooked bacon inside for extra heartiness.
Delicious served with fruit, yogurt, or a smoothie for a full breakfast.
