- Prepare popcorn
- Pop popcorn and place it in a large bowl, discarding any unpopped kernels.
- Melt marshmallow mixture
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add marshmallows, stirring constantly until smooth. Stir in vanilla and a pinch of salt.
- Combine
- Pour marshmallow mixture over popcorn. Stir with a spatula until evenly coated.
- Add festive mix-ins
- Fold in M&Ms and/or sprinkles quickly before it cools too much.
- Form balls
- Lightly grease your hands with butter or cooking spray. Shape mixture into 12 balls and place them on wax paper to cool.
Notes
Add a candy cane stick in each one for a fun handle.
Wrap individually in cellophane and tie with a ribbon for gifting.
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
