Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups Rice Chex or Corn Chex cereal
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup holiday M&Ms

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Zip-top bag
  • Baking sheet + parchment

Method
 

Melt the Chocolate Mixture
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in vanilla.
Coat the Cereal
  1. Add Chex cereal to a large mixing bowl. Pour the warm chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently fold until everything is coated.
Add Powdered Sugar
  1. Transfer coated cereal to a large zip-top bag. Add powdered sugar, seal, and shake until fully coated.
Mix In M&Ms
  1. Spread mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool, then toss in holiday M&Ms.
Serve or Store
  1. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

Notes

• Add pretzels, mini marshmallows, or sprinkles if you want to bulk it up.
• Want it extra sweet? Add a little more powdered sugar after mixing.
• Make it kid-friendly by letting little hands shake the bag.
