- Preheat oven
- Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
- Mix dry ingredients
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Mix wet ingredients
- In a large bowl, whisk oil, eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Combine & fold
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet. Stir until just combined. Fold in chopped apples.
- Add to pan & top
- Pour batter into prepared pan. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon for topping. Sprinkle over batter.
- Bake
- Bake for 55–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool & serve
- Cool in pan 10–15 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
Use tart apples like Granny Smith or sweet ones like Honeycrisp – or a mix!
For extra flavor, add ¼ teaspoon nutmeg or chopped walnuts.
Freezes well for up to 3 months.
