Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb fresh green beans trimmed
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 2 oz can French-fried onions, divided
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Method
 

Preheat Oven:
  1. 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Blanch Green Beans:
  1. Boil green beans in salted water 3–4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Drain and rinse with cold water.
Mix Base:
  1. In a large bowl, combine green beans, sour cream, cheddar cheese, half of the fried onions, bacon, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly coated.
Bake:
  1. Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish. Bake 15–20 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
Top & Serve:
  1. Sprinkle remaining fried onions on top and bake 2–3 minutes more until crispy. Serve warm.

Notes

Make ahead: Assemble the casserole, cover, and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking.
Swap toppings: Use mozzarella or pepper jack for a different cheesy flavor.
For extra crunch, broil the top for 1–2 minutes at the end.
