Ingredients
  

For the Brownies:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
For the Frosting:
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Red & green holiday sprinkles

Equipment

Method
 

Prepare the Brownies
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan. Melt butter and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder until smooth.
Bake
  1. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 22–25 minutes. Cool completely.
Make Frosting
  1. Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla until creamy.
Frost & Decorate
  1. Spread frosting over cooled brownies and top with red and green sprinkles.
Serve or Store
  1. Cut into squares. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to 1 week.

Notes

For extra richness, fold 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips into the brownie batter.
Make ahead: Frost the next day for cleaner slices.
For a peppermint twist, add 1/2 tsp peppermint extract to the frosting.
