Cook Carrots:
- In a large skillet, add carrots and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then simmer 5–7 minutes until just tender. Drain.
Glaze:
- Return carrots to the skillet. Add butter, brown sugar (or honey), salt, and pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the glaze is thickened and carrots are coated, about 5–7 minutes.
Optional Garnish:
- Sprinkle with cinnamon or fresh parsley before serving. Serve warm.
Notes
Make ahead: Carrots can be cooked and glazed a few hours in advance; reheat gently before serving.
