Method
- Crush OREOs
- In a food processor, pulse OREOs into fine crumbs. (No need to remove the filling.)
- Mix with cream cheese
- Add softened cream cheese and pulse until fully combined and a sticky dough forms.
- Shape and chill
- Scoop and roll into 1-inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for 30–60 minutes.
- Melt candy coating
- Melt green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Dip and decorate
- Using a fork or dipping tool, dip chilled balls into the green coating. Place back on the tray and quickly add a red candy heart before the coating sets.
- Let set
- Chill or rest at room temperature until the coating is firm. Store in the fridge.
Notes
You can use white chocolate instead of candy melts, just add oil-based green coloring (avoid water-based).
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
Add peppermint extract or crushed candy canes for a minty variation!
