Ingredients

  • 36 OREO cookies 1 standard 14.3 oz package
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 12 oz green candy melts or white chocolate + green gel coloring
  • Red heart sprinkles or red M&M minis, heart-shaped

Equipment

  • Food processor or blender
  • Mixing bowl
  • Cookie scoop
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Parchment-lined tray

Method

  1. Crush OREOs
  2. In a food processor, pulse OREOs into fine crumbs. (No need to remove the filling.)
  3. Mix with cream cheese
  4. Add softened cream cheese and pulse until fully combined and a sticky dough forms.
  5. Shape and chill
  6. Scoop and roll into 1-inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for 30–60 minutes.
  7. Melt candy coating
  8. Melt green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  9. Dip and decorate
  10. Using a fork or dipping tool, dip chilled balls into the green coating. Place back on the tray and quickly add a red candy heart before the coating sets.
  11. Let set
  12. Chill or rest at room temperature until the coating is firm. Store in the fridge.

Notes

You can use white chocolate instead of candy melts, just add oil-based green coloring (avoid water-based).
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
Add peppermint extract or crushed candy canes for a minty variation!
