Ingredients

  • 1 12 oz bag pretzel twists (or rods)

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or shortening optional, helps smooth melting
  • Sprinkles crushed candy canes, or colored sugar (optional, for decorating)

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler
  • Fork or dipping tool
  • Baking sheet with parchment paper

Method

Prepare a baking sheet
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
Melt the white chocolate
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the white chocolate chips with coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth and fully melted.
Dip the pretzels
  1. Using a fork or dipping tool, dip pretzels into the melted chocolate, tapping off excess.
Decorate
  1. Place dipped pretzels onto the prepared baking sheet. If desired, immediately sprinkle with toppings before the chocolate sets.
Set the coating
  1. Refrigerate or let stand at room temperature until the chocolate hardens (about 10 minutes in the fridge).
Serve or store
  1. Enjoy immediately, or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

Notes

Use candy melts if you want brighter white color and easier melting.
Add festive sprinkles for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, or birthdays.
Drizzle with dark or milk chocolate for a two-tone effect.
